    Nova Pioneer Ormonde Secondary School is seeking an exceptional FET Phase Afrikaans Teacher.

    This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled educator to empower students using an enquiry-based learning approach and contribute to the development of innovative leaders who will shape the African Century.

    About the Role

    We require an outstanding Teacher to teach Afrikaans. The successful candidate will lead instruction in their language across multiple grades and classrooms, driving a rigorous, enquiry-based learning environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with learning designers to create impactful lessons.
    • Deliver engaging, technology-enhanced lessons that promote academic excellence.
    • Support Apprentice teachers through observation, coaching, and mentorship.
    • Foster a passion for learning and set ambitious goals for students.
    • Conduct ongoing assessments and adjust instructional content accordingly.
    • Participate in professional growth opportunities, including team meetings and reflections.
    • Communicate regularly with parents and contribute to co-curricular programming.
    • Join collaborative teams and committees, and undertake supervision duties as assigned.

    About You

    To be successful, you must have:

    • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
    • SACE registration.
    • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Afrikaans.
    • Experience teaching Afrikaans as a first or second language.
    • A deep understanding of children and the ability to connect with your age group.
    • An understanding of and passion for enquiry-based, student-centered learning.
    • Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in using technology for instruction.
