    Description

    Vacancy: Clinical Psychologist Position

    We are seeking a full-time Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Optima@RustenVrede, a private child/adolescent and adult psychiatric hospital near Stellenbosch.

    The ideal candidate will have experience working in an inpatient unit, seeing individual patients as well as running groups, and will be able to see couples and families. They should also be comfortable working with adults, young children, adolescents, and their parents in a multi-disciplinary team environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Work in child, adolescent, and adult in-patient units at Optima@RustenVrede
    • See individual in-patients and manage treatment plans
    • Conduct psychological assessments and write reports
    • Plan, design and run in-patient groups
    • Plan and run couples and family therapy
    • See adults, children and adolescents for behavioral interventions and/or therapy
    • Work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
    • See out-patients
    • Provide written feedback to referring healthcare professionals
    • Manage and book own appointments
    • Maintain accurate records and billing
    • Fulfill administrative tasks associated with clinical practice or other tasks agreed upon by the practice.

    Requirements:

    • Registered as a Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA
    • Professional Indemnity Insurance
    • All supporting documents
    • Bilingual (Afrikaans/English)

    Working Conditions:

    • Full-time position: 40 hours per week (30 therapy hours per week)
    • Starting date: 1 February 2025
    • Job type: Full-time
