Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team as a Head of Kitchen Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and contributing to staff training and development. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Develop and implement effective kitchen procedures to ensure efficient service delivery
- Train and supervise junior staff members to ensure they meet company standards
- Participate in stock takes and contribute to inventory management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:
- 3 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a formal restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Well-presented and well-spoken individual with a strong personality
- Grade 12 education required; formal cooking degree or diploma preferred
- Experience in running functions of up to 250 pax at a 5-star level
- Strong knowledge of food and kitchen procedures
- Ability to create, cost, and maintain recipes
- Must have a strong general knowledge of food and kitchen procedures

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience
