Introduction

Role Purpose


To provide business and personal assistant support to executives including aligning functions across the business which include communication, stakeholder engagement, reporting and analysis to effectively enable and support the value chain capabilities within the area of responsibility of the executive.


Requirements:


  • Relevant BCom degree.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification preferable.
  • 24 years' experience in the financial industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage business outcomes (Internal Process)

  • In collaboration with the Executive, provide support on the business priorities which enable the realisation of the organisation's strategy.
  • Providing assistance to the Executive to develop, promote and oversee the implementation of strategic outcomes that enable the strategy.
  • To manage the relationships and expectations of all stakeholders by developing partnerships through effective communication.
  • In partnership and support of the Executive by taking responsibility of some areas within the business portfolio in order to create focus and deliver on planned business outcomes.
  • Keep abreast with best practises within the financial services industries to enable the Executive to effectively respond to the market and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration between teams and business stakeholders (internal and external), in order to enable holistic services to the business.
  • Participate in activities within the value chain to ensure that quality standards are in line with business requirements.
  • Identify and report on any significant performance, business information that may impact the business.
  • To perform a research and analysis function that may enable the Executive to make informed decisions and provide innovative solutions.
  • Conduct regular engagement on behalf of the Executive with stakeholders to cascade information and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • In collaboration with the Executive to proactively enable the implementation of a passionate client service way of work.
  • Provide effective and efficient administrative and operational support for the Executive.
  • Coordinate all the components (logistics, catering etc.) of events, meetings and functions within budget and specifications.
  • Provide secretarial support (agenda, minutes, action plans etc.) for the preparation and
successful execution of meetings.

  • Support the flow of information within the manager's office, ensuring that matters requiring their personal attention are handled speedily.
  • Support diary management activities in order to effectively schedule appointments.
  • Arrange detailed travel arrangements and compile all the relevant documentation for travelrelated meetings.
  • Attend to ad hoc personal matters.
