ROLE DESCRIPTION

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designing, optimising, and maintaining databases, modifying databases according to requests, and performing tests to ensure optimal performance and security
  • Ensuring design, consistency, quality, and security of data management systems, installing, configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and improving the performance of databases and data stores, and developing procedures to ensure data integrity and quality.
  • Prepare and present system performance reports to senior managers, conduct diagnostic tests, and evaluate performance metrics Managing project budget and costs.

Service Providers:
The management of people within his/her functional responsibility in order to achieve the outcomes of the function. This includes service providers and the management of SLAs.

  • Database Management: Design, develop and manages databases by making use of tools like SQL databases
  • IT

Application Security:
Defining, communicating and enforcing technology-related policies, standards and procedures. They are tasked with mitigating risk related to internal and external data breaches and cyber-attacks. Develop security incident management plans and ensure that all technology-related projects meet defined security requirements. Ensure that company servers and networks meet or exceed established security requirements.

Department Support:
to support other IT functional heads.

  • Technical:
  • Coordinating management of integration between processes and systems

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • 7 years plus experience in a similar role.
  • Microsoft certified Azure DBA.
  • FMCG environment experience advantageous.

REMUNERATION PACKAGE
