Sales:


  • Drive a collaborative process with Brand executive team to development a strategic roadmap for the brand's international growth
  • Take ownership and responsibility for execution of the strategy
  • Development longterm relationships in relevant markets and ongoing evaluation of the international sales network
  • Compilation of sales budget and allocation of stock
  • Communication with outlets to determine sales targets
  • Communication with distribution agents internationally to increase international distribution and premiumisation
  • Responsible for development of annual International Revenue and Expense budgets, operating profit (P&L)
  • Establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; and projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Maintaining sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors
  • Establishing and adjusting selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.

Promotions:


  • Compilation and execution of promotional plans with business associates and the media
  • Development of promotional material for international markets
  • Supervision of the execution of all inmarket promotional activities (partnering with regional agents/partners)
  • Participation at relevant international wine shows
  • Liaison with winemaker/s in participation of local and international promotional activities.

General Management:


  • Compilation monthly management report
  • Review and analysis of market macro and industry trends to identify and plan for opportunities and threats
  • Handling all administrative tasks applicable to the role and objectives.

Commercial:


  • Efficient management of operational budget to maximise return on international investment
  • Ensure beneficial commercial agreements/contracts with partners, with clear performance objectives, metrics and evaluation processes

Qualifications:


  • 3year tertiary qualification in marketing or business would be ideal
  • 58 years' experience in an international sales environment in the wine industry,
  • Excellent communication skills at senior levels
  • Knowledge of the wine industry
  • Commercial acumen
  • Understanding of marketing principles and practices
  • Ability to negotiate and influence others
  • Fluent in English. Additional languages would be advantageous
  • No restrictions on ability to travel frequently (clear criminal record)
