    Job Summary

    A highly experienced Software Team Leader is required to oversee software and IT strategies, ensuring seamless integration with company operations and objectives. This role involves leading architectural design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of custom applications and software solutions.

    The ideal candidate will report to the Chief of Staff, focusing on merging technology with core business functions to enhance efficiency and productivity. Close collaboration with Improvement and Optimization teams is essential to identify pain points and develop innovative solutions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement objectives, policies, and strategies for software and IT operations to maximize value to the business.
    • Technology Selection: Select and implement technology to streamline operations and optimize business benefits.
    • Custom System Design: Design and customize systems to enhance customer experience and drive business transformation.
    • Team Leadership: Hire, develop, manage, and evaluate IT resources to ensure a high-performing team.
    • Project Management: Oversee software development projects and ensure timely execution, within budgets and timelines.
    • Tech Advancements: Monitor technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge and stay updated with industry trends.
    • IT Analysis: Analyze cost, value, and risk of IT/software to provide strategic recommendations that align with business goals.
    • Service Issue Resolution: Address service issues and complaints from stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
    • Relationship Building: Build and manage relationships with internal teams and external providers to ensure successful project completion.
    • Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as required to support the success of the organization.

    Required Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
    • Experience: 8+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, React, and experience with AWS (DynamoDB, Cognito, CloudFront, CloudFormations, Lambda, Redis), Quickbase, Zapier, Wuroo, ZenDesk, Teams.
    • Leadership Qualities: Proven ability to manage projects within budgets and timelines, lead teams responsible for critical technical systems, and possess strong understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations.
