    Job Title: Commodity SLP Quantity Surveying Superintendent

    A key role has become available for a Commodity SLP Quantity Surveying Superintendent to join our team at the Bridge Personnel Concepts office.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Stakeholder Management: Provide expert advice on commodity management, develop and manage customer relationships, and handle customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
    • Supplier Relations: Develop and manage strategic supplier relationships, foster and maintain supplier relations, and handle supplier complaints.
    • Source-to-Settle Strategy: Drive agreed SLP in relation to Quantity surveying sourcing strategies for assigned commodities suppliers, achieving lowest possible total cost for material and equipment.
    • Total Cost of Ownership (TCO): Review spends data and trends to identify improvement opportunities, determine business requirements, and draw up suitable Commodity Strategies.
    • Tenders: Analyze the Procurement Operating Plan (POP) to determine value and risk of service or goods required, compile tender packs, coordinate the tender process, and evaluate and adjudicate tenders.
    • Contract Management & Administration: Draft Sourcing contracts and agreements, review changes to terms and conditions of existing contracts, and communicate contract finalization and amendments to relevant stakeholders.
    • Projects: Participate in the estimation and preparation of cost budget for a project or sub-project, monitor and control actual cost against budget, plan, organize and support project meetings and workshops.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate should have:

    • A minimum of 6 years' supply chain or commercial experience, with at least 4 years in commodity management or procurement within the mining industry.
    • SAP MM knowledge and experience is essential.
    • Quantity surveyor experience in estimations and cost advice with an understanding of contractual agreements.
    • Be medically fit to work in the specific business area.
    • Have a clear security screening record.
    • Hold a valid driver's license (if applicable).

    Advantageous Qualifications

    NQF 7 (Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma), Quantity Surveyor Qualification, and ASAQS registration would be advantageous.
