Our client in Alberton is one of South Africa's largest manufacturers of packaging solutions. A Production Manager is required to manage and oversee production in the Bagcon and Co-Extrusion departments.

The Production Manager will be responsible to optimise production, minimise waste, and maximizing people performance. Consistent delivery of quality product as per specifications, should be ensured.

REQUIREMENTS

Matric
Degree in Production/Operations Management or related field
A minimum of 5 7 years proven experience as a production manager in a plastics manufacturing industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Good technical knowledge and experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare & analyse and align the daily Production Plan to the Sales Plan and Deliver the Production Outputs / Quality
Proactively minimise breakdowns through effective Maintenance Management
Manage Quality minimise Defects.
Manage & control Waste within Waste Targets
Ensure Compliance of HSHE thereby ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all your staff in the workplace
Ensure BRC compliance via the GMP Score
Monitor control & minimize absenteeism.
Manage / develop and build Team.
Manage Customer Complaints and Customer Relations
Achieve operations labour budget expectations.
Ensuring product quality and production efficiency
Drive OEE optimising production.
Daily/Monthly reporting
