JOB OBJECTIVE:
Ensure all orders are accurately picked, inventory is processed organized and stored daily.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pick orders as per customer order
- Once accurately picked, stage order in correct area and ensure it is clearly marked
- Sign picking slip and return it to the Warehouse Supervisor
- Ensure that all loads leaving the warehouse are checked to avoid shrinkages
- Ensure correct picking of stock
- Assist in sorting debrief stock
- Sort stock accordingly shelf life
- Ensure damaged stock is moved to the necessary staging area for repacking
- Repack damaged stock to be put back to stock to be sold
- Ensure expired and contaminated stock is discarded as per the legal requirements
- Assist with daily and quarterly stock counts
- Ensure proper housekeeping of the warehouse
- Assist production team as and when the need arise
- Perform other adhoc duties as and when required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade12/Matric is essential
- At least 1 year's work experience within a similar role
- Able to read & write and understand measurements
- Good eye for detail
- Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work in organized and efficient manner
- Must be a team player
- Requires lifting, standing, bending and physical activity throughout the day
- Must be physically fit and able to carry out a range of general duties
