- Civil Engineering or Natural Sciences degree
- Professional registration with ECSA or SACNASP or willing to pursue professional registration
- 5 or more years working knowledge in flooding
- Deep technical appreciation in hydraulic modeling, in particular fluvial flood risk management will be advantageous and strong hydrology background including impacts of climate change.
- Expertise in HEC-RAS (1D, 1D/2D and 2D) or similar software
- Knowledge of Flood Modeler Pro, Tuflow
- Stormwater draining network modelling and design
