Sales Consultant
The following position is open in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.


EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Appropriate tertiary qualification i.e. Interior Design Degree/Diploma would be advantageous
  • Must speak English, Afrikaans (Beneficial)
- +3yrs experience gained across commercial and or Marketing functions within the Design or sales sector.

  • High Level skills in Microsoft suite (PowerPoint, Excel, word).
  • High level of presentation skills, both with PowerPoint and must be comfortable with Public Speaking. Other design programs will be advantageous (i.e. Sketup)
  • Excellent communication and negotiating skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Must have valid car license and own transport

Role Responsibilities

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


Commercial

  • Expand the customer footprint.
  • Inform customers on products to drive longterm profitable sales growth
  • Provide input to assist in the development of activity planning
  • Understand the industry, customer and consumer profiles
  • Oneonone contact with targeted consumers to fulfil the following objectives
  • Development, growth and furtherance of company's reach
  • Guide customers through the purchasing process and close deals.
  • Asist customers on project based proposals

Reporting

  • Share intelligence with marketing department to support brand image development.
  • Provide weekly updates including potential sales and closed deals.
  • Proactive communication with team lead.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Independent individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, Out-going, Strong time management and analytical capabilities, Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
