The position is crucial to the success of our panel shop. Overseeing a group of employees and do the physical labour of what is required in a panel shop. Creating order, reaching targets and producing quality work is very important.


Responsibilities:


Supervise the team:
a. Ensure the team have a clear direction

b. Communicate well within the team, motivate and encourage

c. Reach targets as set out by the operations manager

• Quality Control

a. Ensure quality work is produced at all times

b. Systematic approach to ensure all necessary steps are followed

• Assessing vehicle damage and complete job cards to order parts
• Strip and assemble
• Shaping or straightening damaged panels as and when required
• Welding and metal work to repair structural damage
• Filling and Sanding areas to ensure a smooth finish
• Priming and painting
• Follow up on ordered parts
• Communicate with operations manager on deadlines
• Keep work area clean and neat at all times
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed
• Maintenance on all tools, machinery and spraybooth

Requirements:

• Previous supervisor position in a panel shop
• Experience in the position as a panel beater
• Be able to communicate well with superiors and staff members
• Administratively sound
• Ability to spray paint is a bonus
• Ability to mix paint is an added advantage

Salary R R depending on experience

R13 000,00 - R15 000,00 per month
