Sales Specialist - Interventional Cardiology

The sales specialist will focus on managing and selling the variable consumables interventional cardiology management product portfolios in the Private and Government sectors.

This is an employment equity position.

This role reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Serve customers by selling products and meeting customer needs.
Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule.
Meet sales targets.
Adjust content of sales presentations based on sales outlet or trade factor.
Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information.
Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.

Ideal Candidate Attributes

Medical background and experience in the sales territory.
Ability to show growth in a developing territory and communicate effectively.
Computer literacy and relevant work experience.
Product knowledge, sales skills, and ability to meet sales goals.
Territory management, self-confidence, client relationships, and motivation for sales.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years medical experience in private and government sectors in Western Cape.
Theatre and Cath-Lab experience is required.
Current relationships with private and government hospitals are essential.
Valid Driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
South African Citizen.
