Introduction

Role Purpose


To facilitate the successful implementation of the L&P strategy to deliver the required learning and skills outcomes for stakeholder impact and return on investment.

The incumbent will also assist the Skills Development Manager with managing the skills development programmes in accordance with legislation (SDA, SDLA, B-BBEE, SAQA, etc), and to facilitate the successful implementation of the L&P strategy to deliver the required learning and skills outcomes for stakeholder impact and return on investment.


Requirements:


  • A relevant qualification in Project Management, Learning and Development, Education,
  • Commerce or another relevant area or similar is required
  • Postgraduate qualification in a related field
  • SDF certification
  • OD-ETDP (Occupationally Directed Education Training Development Practice) level 5 certification (preferred)
years experience in the digitisation of business enterprises\LMS's

  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary projects
  • 46 years learning and development experience with a focus on skills development in an insurance or financial services environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. SDA, SDLA, Employment Equity Act (Codes of Good Practice related to EE and B-BBEE), Labour Relations Act and SAQA Act
  • Strong track record in a combination of digital\IT and information roles with a focus on digital enablement\transformation
  • Ability to demonstrate a strategic and innovative approach to delivery of outputs and outcomes
  • Good understanding of emerging technologies and their potential uses, especially in the learning and development sector

Duties & Responsibilities
**Internal Processes: - Conduct analysis for learning design in collaboration with digital enablement team.

  • Develop and implement guidelines for learning programmes
  • Keep abreast of trends, legislation and best practices within the skill development field in order to optimise service delivery.
  • Provide best practice guidance and guidelines for Skills Development practices.
  • Maximize funding opportunities via implementation of discretionary grant projects in support of skills pipeline development and growth.
  • Facilitate the vendor management and accreditation process for service providers and internal training programmes.
  • Determine an appropriate skills audit system to identify the skills needs of the business and support the execution of the skills audits for the MomLife.
  • Oversee the needs analysis for Momlife in accordance with business objectives and in collaboration with the HR team compile a Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) that addresses the needs of the business in line within MMH framework and standards.
  • Support and track the implementation of the Momlife WSP and provide advice on learning interventions to meet the requirements of the WSP.
  • Evaluate organisational readiness for learnership process and develop plans to advocate learnerships in the business to increase readiness.
  • Manage the learnerships, internships, skills programmes and bursary programme for MomLife
  • Advocate Skills Development within the business and coach and guide the HR teams and business stakeholders to comply with the Skills Development Act and related processes.
  • Compile, submit and assess the Workplace Skills Plan Implementation Report within the requirements of the SETAs and Momlife's standards and procedures.
  • Utlise insights from reporting to make recommendations to improve the development and implementation of the Workplace Skills Plan.
  • Identify and highlight Skills Development risks with relevant stakeholders and identify risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the compilation and submission of accurate Skills Development reports that clearly highlight the relevant analysis, insight and trends.
  • Managing B-BBEE verification process for Momlife SD by supporting the collation of valid, accurate and complete data or evidence during the B-BBEE verification process.
  • Gather data to compile and submit BBBEE reports for annual verification purposes in line with MMH requirements and standards.
  • Conduct research related to pilot programmes and extension of scope of existing programmes
  • Adapt procedures to meet programme implementation requirements
  • Create dashboards to ensure control measures are implemented for management and recommendations
  • Create calendar of key dates for tracking milestones for projects within portfolio
  • Resolve stakeholder queries and complaints within defined timeframes in a manner that maintains the stakeholder statisfaction and builds healthy relati
