    Main Responsibilities and Duties

    • Provide security advice to clients.
    • Conduct threat and risk assessments, as well as reporting.
    • Maintain client liaison and professional client relationships.
    • Manage manpower and rostering.
    • Oversee equipment management.
    • Effectively manage and resolve client complaints.
    • Evaluate and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
    • Lead incident and investigation management.
    • Ensure adherence to the company's disciplinary code.
    • Initiate and chair disciplinary hearings.
    • Implement and follow all company SOPS.
    • Maintain health and safety standards.
    • Resolve Security Officer problems reported.
    • Evaluate and ensure compliance with BPC policies and procedures.
    • Perform after-hours visits.
    • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
    • Coordinate training when required.
    • Assist with shift changes as a standby manager.
    • Attend meetings and take calls to address urgent matters even on rest days.

    Preferred Qualifications/Attributes/Skills:

    • PSIRA certification (Grade A).
    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
    • Firearm competency and a valid Regulation 21 certificate is advantageous.
    • Relevant experience in a managerial or similar position.
    • Knowledge of risk management methods and techniques, business impact analysis, countermeasures, and contingency arrangements related to IT service disruptions.
    • Familiarity with access control systems that prevent unauthorized system access.
    • Confidence in dealing with the public.
    • Bilingual (English and any other South African Language).
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • First aid and firefighting training is beneficial.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office.
    • Willingsness to undergo a polygraph test.
    • Clean disciplinary, criminal, and credit record.
    • Own reliable transport and driver's license (Code 08).
    • Previous Police/Military experience in an investigative field is preferred.
    • Firearm competency, handgun, rifle, and shotgun trained for Business Purpose.
    • Willingness to work after hours.
