International company looking for a Setter to join their team.


KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in department.
  • Attainment of hourly targets.
  • Adherence to quality standards and measures.
  • Reporting of nonconformances of quality and production targets.
  • Timeous completion of all relevant documentation.
  • Identification/labeling of all materials and components.

MAIN TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setup machines, presses and tooling.
  • Produce components of quality standards.
  • Setting scrap is kept to a minimum and segregated from acceptable production.
  • All production remains identified during all manufacturing stages.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Liase with engineers and toolroom with regards to tooling and pressing.
  • Oversee other press setters.

COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate ability to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in various Single/Multi Spindle Autos machine.
  • Problem solving: Ability to identify faults; problems and determine solutions.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations (safety conscious at all times).
  • Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools including repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations.
  • Knowledge using the correct PPE for the operation.

Requirements:


Formal schooling/degree

  • Grade 1
  • Qualified trade artisan.

Experience:


  • Previous experience in a high
- volume precision mechanical engineering environment.


Languages

  • English and Afrikaans.
  • Effective decision maker and results oriented.
  • Critical Thinking and Problemsolving ability.
  • Conflict handling and resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a highpressure environment.
