Description

Develop and lead a cohesive electrical design team to optimize performance and collaboration. Build strong customer relationships to prioritize design resource allocation and ensure efficient utilization based on requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delegate tasks effectively and manage project timelines, addressing deviations promptly.
• Provide leadership to design engineers, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.
• Organize internal and external design reviews to validate technical soundness and integrity.
• Perform CAD tasks, including 3D modeling and 2D drawings, while maintaining accurate product data in customer PDM systems.
• Support custom engineering requests and oversee administrative tasks such as performance reviews, mentorship, and training.

Requirements:

• Over 15 years of post-graduate engineering design experience.
• Wiring design and controller integration within the heavy-duty machinery, electrical design field exposure.
• Willingness to travel internationally for varying durations based on project needs and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• BEng, BSc, or B-Tech degree in Electrical Engineering.
• South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit only.
