    Description

    Inventory Planner

    An Inventory Planner is required to optimize inventory mix in the Distribution Center (DC) by effectively managing key supplier accounts and product ranges for our retail client. The successful candidate will facilitate all products through the supply chain until they are on the shelf.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Key performance areas include:

    • Coordinating supplier accounts to optimize ordering patterns and frequency
    • Setting item parameters and analyzing data to enable optimal forecasting results
    • Placing supplier purchase orders to achieve inventory and service goals
    • Planning promotional activities and replenishment strategies
    • Project management
    • Data analysis and reporting

    Desired Experience & Qualification

    The ideal candidate must have:

    • A Matric degree in Supply Chain or a relevant field
    • At least 2 years' experience in supply chain management
    • Excellent product knowledge and understanding
    • Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS Office and Excel pivot tables
    • SAP knowledge is an advantage
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
