RETAIL ALLOCATOR:


  • Cape Town, South Africa
    YOUR MISSION:
  • Allocate and replenish stock per target parameters to maximize profit and stock turn.
  • Category Replenishments.
  • Allocate on the principles of ensuring Right Product, Right Quantity, Right Place and Right Time frame.
  • Support Buyers in delivering proposals on key decisions to the business with visibility and relevant key data and analysis.
  • Submit monthly BU sales reports / Inventory and discussions to Retail Merch Manager & Buyers (Monthly Catch ups).
  • Analyze the Bestsellers and Worstsellers and give the suggestion to maximize the performance.
  • Weekly recap from store feedback information identify risks and opportunities for areas of responsibility and propose to business.
  • Review, analyze and propose adjustments to allocation plans, based on current trends, store performance and feedback from field team. Consider Option plans and target stock levels. Create action plan, agree with Buyers & Merch Manager.
  • Review product performance daily/weekly to optimize inventory investment by store and drive sales.
  • Monitor under/over stock position by store, adjust inventory levels based on sales levels and replenishment guidelines.
  • Identify and analyze store/product statistical trends and propose actions to be taken agree with Retail Buyers.
  • Compile and analyze store history, by region and store profiles to assist future planning
  • Share with Merch Manager & Buyers. (Quarterly catch ups with Product Team).
  • Allocate and build the stock for new store openings/refurbishments according to targets. Monitor new store performance and recommend actions.
  • Create, maintain, and update store/market profiles for initial allocation.
  • Assist Buyers/Planners in identifying and recommending markdowns. Prepare Option/style list with markdown price proposal then sign off with Merch manager and assist in implementing agreed markdowns with Stores.
  • Recommend to Buyers inter store transfers or send outs, manage the stock transfers from Full Priced to Outlet DC's.
  • Analyze the underperformance reasons on store/style level and suggest on actions.
  • Manage Orders on hand / Liaise with customer sales ensuring orders have been sent for packing and maintaining allocations list monthly.
  • Weekly newsletter input.
  • Managing JDA and weekly replenishments.
  • Responsible for being a process trainer for new team members.
  • Act as a point of contact for stores, area managers and head office.
  • Assist with Buying tasks within the capabilities when out of office.
  • Other tasks may be assigned to you during your employment.

YOUR TALENT:


  • Minimum 2 years working experience as a Retail/Merchandise/Product Allocator,
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with advanced excel experience is essential
  • Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification is an important prerequisite
  • Strong business acumen and merchant thinking
  • Sound numerical, analytical thinking & logical problemsolving skills
  • Strong planning, organizing, administrating and coordinating skills
  • Ability to work independently, selflead and use initiative
  • Methodical, detailorientated and accurate
  • Deadline and outcomes focused
