About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Finance Administrator to join their dynamic team based in uMhlanga, Durban. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a fast-paced company within the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with solid experience who is looking to grow their career in a structured and performance-driven environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance management, Accounting, or a related field (essential)
- 2–3 years' proven experience in a finance or accounting role
- Prior experience within the construction industry (essential)
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare financial reports and assist with monthly management accounts
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support project cost tracking and reporting within construction projects
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Assist with audit preparations and financial reviews
