    Job Title: Social Auxiliary Worker

    Yabonga is a Cape Town-based non-governmental organisation supporting people living with HIV in South Africa.

    We operate in twelve township communities around the city, drawing on family, community and state structures to offer a comprehensive model of care for vulnerable children and youth.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Counsel children and adults within the Yabonga programme.
    2. Conduct home, child and family assessments of Yabonga beneficiaries.
    3. Identify challenges and resolve conflict.
    4. Excellent administrative, communication and networking skills are required.
    5. Manage a small team with confidence.
    6. Speak and write detailed reports in IsiXhosa and English language.
    7. Collect OVC reports, read and summarise for the Programme Manager.

    Requirements:

    • Social Auxiliary Worker Qualification.
    • Experience in the field of work.
    • Able to work and drive within township areas.
    • Driver's license required.
    • Ideal candidate lives within the communities in which they will be working.

    Salary Range:

    R120,000 - R150,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
