The primary goal of the intermediate HR Business Partner at Byte Orbit is to strategically align human resources initiatives with the overarching business objectives, cultivating a collaborative and high-performance culture.

With a focus on talent acquisition, this role is dedicated to sourcing, hiring, onboarding and retaining top-tier talent.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Strategic PartnershipCollaborate with business leaders to understand departmental goals and objectives, aligning HR strategies to support overall business success.- Act as a trusted advisor, guiding on talent-related matters, organisational development, and team planning.


Talent acquisition:


Drive end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent for various technical roles.-
Employee ExperienceEnsure a world-class employee experience by fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.-Implement and manage performance management processes, including goal-setting, feedback sessions, and monthly check-ins-Work with managers to identify development opportunities and create personalised growth plans for team members.-Collaborate with managers and the HR team to Identify high-potential individuals and implement succession planning initiatives.-Treat employees as internal customers and increase their satisfaction.-Ensure recognition and reward initiatives are implemented successfully
PayrollCollaborating with finance to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.-Ensure any relevant documentation is signed, up to date and stored securely.
HR Policies and ComplianceDeveloping, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures in compliance with labour legislation.-Keeping abreast of changes in employment legislation and ensuring company compliance.
Training and DevelopmentMonitoring and evaluating training effectiveness.-Assist with statutory reporting to relevant SETA bodies.-Maintaining documentation required for company-sponsored training and monitoring the progress of courses and certificates undertaken by employees.- Collaborate with managers and the HR team to design and deliver training initiatives that enhance employees' skills and support career development.


HR AdminEnsuring contracts and other employee-related documents are up to date and securely stored.-Coordinate team activities related to group work such as Innovation chats and Standups.-Assist with building and submission of EE reporting.
Marketing Liaison

  • Update the Marketing Team with HRrelevant information.

Data-driven insightsAnalyse HR-related data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.-Use HR analytics and metrics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.-Provide data-driven insights to inform talent management strategies and decision-making.02.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
  • 23 years of progressive HR experience, with a focus on talent management
  • Experience within the tech industry would be advantageous
  • Proven success in implementing talent acquisition strategies and fostering a culture of employee development.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices & labour legislation
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
