Description

We are looking for a Travel Sales and Administration Consultant who is passionate about traveling who will join us in creating unforgettable travel experiences for our clients.

You will provide information and assist with travel requirements pre, post, and during travel ensuring guests and trade partners receive a personalised, worry-free experience.

This will include reservations, putting together inbound & outbound rates, assisting with the marketing and sales functions of the company as well as concierge bookings.

The individual should be able to work well in a team, have excellent verbal communication skills, be thorough and pay attention to detail, be able to sell and have experience in selling travel packages.


Responsibilities

  • Creative planning and designing of guest itineraries both inbound and outbound as well as our other travel services.
  • Managing the reservations process for bookings from quote to finalising, including invoicing and travel documents.
  • Consistent and clear communication with trade partners, direct and indirect guests, sales teams, preferred supplier partners and colleagues where required.
  • Database management, imagery and rates collation.
  • Cooperate with clients to determine their needs and advise them appropriate destination, modes of transportations, travel dates, costs and accommodations
  • Provide relevant information, brochures and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events etc) to travellers
  • Use promotional techniques and promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages.
  • Attend relevant networking events with stakeholders.
  • Maintain statistical and financial records
  • Meet profit and sales targets

Requirements and skills

  • Tertiary certificate in hospitality, travel, tourism or relevant field
  • At least 2 years work experience in a travel sales or administration role.
  • Solid knowledge of domestic and international tourism trends and services.
  • Knowledge and experience creating travel itineraries.
  • Excellent knowledge of computer reservations systems, and etravelling
  • Fluency in English; multilingualism is a plus
  • Strong sales skills and commercial awareness
  • Ability to interact, communicate and negotiate effectively
  • Personal travel experience will be considered an advantage
  • Diligent selfstarter, with a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to travel if required.
SALARY - R 7 000 plus commission.

From R7,000.00 per month

Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
