    Job Purpose


    Support the Product head in the delivery of client and product strategy in a profitable way whilst delivering value creation by applying best practice product management methodologies in the end-to-end value chain of the product in line with Cluster goals for Transactional Services and CIB

    Job Responsibilities


    Financial:

    Execute on the product revenue to achieve the agreed financial objectives by driving sustainable growth, ownership and performance for product and Sales within Transactional Services and CIB

    Execute on financial objectives supporting the organisational budgeting process through driving reporting and monitoring of organisational financial performance

    Client growth by executing on identified product opportunities to grow primary banker status, portfolio optimisation and ensuring commercialisation

    Execute on the refund app for product & conduct root cause analysis and execution of remedial actions and development of preventative measures

    Customer:

    Participate in client engagements to in support of sales and to ensure product health and utilisation

    Execute on product enhancement and ideation based on client feedback

    Support Product Sales expert on client deal structuring, problem statement, product alignment and client strategy formulation

    Execute on the identified product value chain improvements

    Product management:

    Delivery of business roadmap & strategy through continuous product development including assistance with query resolution around feature functionality

    Identify new innovation/product health opportunities to feed the program backlog

    Execute on the digital first strategy creating cohesion between segment, channel and product

    Participate in all ceremonies as required for cadence and value creation (Stand-ups, focus sessions, backlog, sprint planning, retrospectives)

    Stakeholder Management:

    Collaboration with stakeholders for commercialisation, compliance, people, technology, support, operationalisation, value management and servicing

    Build relationships to enable the effective negotiation with relevant stakeholders on behalf of the client to meet the client's requirements in a mutually beneficial way.

    External & Internal stakeholder management through effective reporting and communication across Nedbank

    External & Internal stakeholder engagements to champion product forums across clusters

    Industry:

    Driving product ideation and execution whilst ensuring appropriate contribution in strategic engagements & reforms

    Drive performance against targets set for regulatory compliance, risk management/risk appetite, internal audit, market conduct and other business process obligations

    Ensure operationalisation & change management of industry, regulation and compliance requirements

    Risk, Internal Audit & Compliance:

    Prevent loss and risk, enforce internal controls and ensure thorough adherence of effective product management processes.

    Accountability of Risk, Internal Audit and Compliance

    Engage Business Analyst to re-engineer required processes to ensure efficacy and adequate risk control.

    Career development:

    Ensure continuous development and application of product management principles and methodologies

    Improve personal capability and stay abreast of developments in field of expertise by identifying training courses and career progression opportunities for self with input from management

    Essential Qualifications - NQF Level

    • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
    • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees

    Minimum Experience Level


    3 - 5 years relevant experience in product management.
