    Description

    Head of Security

    A seasoned security professional is required to lead the security team at our automotive manufacturing facility in Kariega, Eastern Cape.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prioritize security initiatives and spending based on risk management and financial methodology.
    • Participate in crisis management as a key member of the Crisis Management Organisation.
    • Conduct independent security audits with external consultants.
    • Assess and submit CAPEX for security requirements.
    • Verify and approve transport invoices, evaluating utilisation and negotiating transport requirements with NUMSA.
    • Oversee incident response planning, investigating security breaches and assisting with disciplinary and legal matters.

    Requirements:

    • Tertiary qualification in Security Risk Management or related field.
    • 10 years minimum experience in security, with 5 years in a management role.
    • Comprehensive security experience in areas such as crisis management, investigations, operational security, and international exposure.
    • Security auditing, risk management, contract negotiation, and vendor management skills.
    • Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, presentation, decision-making, and computer literacy skills.
    • Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical staff.

    Estimated Salary: R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum
