    Description

    Key Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    1. Developing network designs and plans in accordance with customer-approved standards, including iOS upgrade planning and configuration template reviews aligned to CIS standards.
    2. Producing network diagrams for projects and liaising with regional network specialists and operations teams regarding implementation.

    They will also be responsible for:

    1. Facilitating network planning by optimizing capacity and configuration, ensuring optimal long-term expansion and refurbishment of the network through developed master plans integrated with the customer network plan.
    2. Coordinating regional network planning and implementation, performing complex network configuration and capacity analysis, and ensuring compliance with customer standards.

    The role involves:

    1. Managing the implementation, maintenance, and support of the customer network infrastructure, including regular system and project audits to ensure conformance.
    2. Resolving complex network issues, managing contractual obligations, and conducting staff training plans to meet customer contract skills requirements.
    3. Managing all BAU projects, reviewing major network changes, monitoring network components, and managing incident management to ensure SLAs are met.

    Requirements

    We are seeking a candidate with:

    • A Grade 12 (NQF 4) qualification and an IT business-related qualification (desirable).
    • 5-7 years of experience in operations management, including management of operations, network services and solution support, strategy design and implementation, and vendor/supplier management.

    The ideal candidate should possess:

    • Knowledge of HR principles, resource management, networking technology, ITIL, project management principles, contracts management, procurement procedures, and strategic understanding of the technical vs. business environment.
    • Leadership, people management, financial management, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Personal attributes such as decision-making, initiating action, analysing, creating and innovating, formulating strategies, planning and organizing, delivering results, coping with pressures, and entrepreneurial and commercial thinking.
