Kaha, based in Newlands, Cape Town, is a leading Fenergo Implementation Partner and niche Software Consultancy.

Your Role

As Delivery Director, you will oversee several Fenergo Implementations as delivered by the Kaha team, ensuring that client programmes are aligned with business strategy, governance frameworks, and platform capabilities.

You will help define and ensure adherence to the Client Target Operating Model, oversee programme sequencing, and guide delivery governance to ensure that all engagements are executed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency that Kaha is known for.

The role requires close collaboration and vertical reporting to the Managing Director, ensuring full visibility of programme / project performance, delivery outcomes, and commercial alignment.

In addition, you will be expected to be at the top of your game, but more than this, to carry the Kaha culture.

Further, you will need to contribute to the "working on the business", not just "working in the business".

The Platform

Fenergo is a cloud-native SaaS platform built on AWS that is used to help banks and financial institutions go about their business in an efficient and safe way.

It is a serverless, highly scalable web platform providing features and full configuration & administration capabilities. All features are delivered through a layer of highly available APIs offering full feature capabilities to any authorized consumer.

Main Responsibilities
As Kaha is fundamentally a professional technology services business, there are some areas of expertise that are absolutely required.

Business / Enterprise Architecture Consulting– able to consult with our clients and prospects' senior stakeholders to understand their environment, challenges and transformation aspirations.

Leading a consulting process with clients to provide a view of a target state for a given project and the outlining the necessary workstreams and deliverables to achieve the necessary outcomes.

Professional Proposal Development– you will need to craft proposals, strategies, solutions and messages. Dealing with difficult, unpredictable situations where factors are not directly within your control. Communicating well in person, and via presentation / written communication.
Client Relationship Management – Client management. This includes organisational awareness - understand the various departments and stakeholders within Fenergo and our client organisations. Build and maintain healthy relationships and manage tensions, delicately manage conflict when needed. Call in backup or get counsel from others when it's tough. Understand the client needs and make sure we are truly adding value and looking to maximise the opportunity.
Partner Relationship Management - Build and maintain healthy relationships with Fenergo. and manage tensions, delicately manage conflict when needed. Leverage relationships to improve project outcomes and maintain the Kaha reputation.
Contract Drafting and Reviewing – you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the contracting process with our clients.

This involves Master Service Agreements and Statements of Work – covering the full contract preparation and review process, execution, filing and monitoring.

Financial Management – prepare and review projections and monitor financials against projects under your remit.

Resourcing – work in conjunction with Practice Leads to ensure teams have the appropriate make up and balance to match the needs of the client and the solution being delivered.

You will work closely with the team, supporting their performance and career development (with Practice Leads)

Organisation – Requirements/Product/Backlog Management –ensure a 'structured' (i.e. clean, organised, transparent) backlog of work for a product / delivery based on a client's needs / goals. This is not necessarily technology work, it might be a list of internal changes we need to introduce.

Support In order to help you grow into your potential, and continue to perform well, we will provide you with personal coaching, additional training, further education – all on a case-by-case and needs basis (not a one-size fits all).

Requirements

Programme/Project management experience, preferably with the implementation of ERP or similar platforms (we also value experience brought in from other industries and roles).

Banking/financial services experience preferable
Client-facing delivery exposure, including client proposals and contracts and budgeting.
Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Knowledge of IT systems, architectures and terminology is beneficial
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

Preferable Experience
Bachelor's / Masters degree in business or technology discipline.
Consulting experience with Financial Services Processes, Financial Regulation, and Technology, particularly relating to client and product-onboarding.
Working in an Agile Software Development environment.
Programme Management experience, with large, complex transformation programmes.
Commercial and Legal management experience.
Experience working with ALM systems, e.g. Azure/JIRA/Trello
