Our client, a Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, has the abovementioned position available for an energetic, pro-active, detailed individual with excellent management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan, organize and execute.


Duties include:
*coordinate emergency response procedures *timely resolution of complaints and service failures *coordinate major maintenance and repairs of mechanical systems, HVAC systems, generators/solar, and water systems *schedule and supervise outsourced maintenance activities *compile necessary work schedules and paperwork *provide daily instruction to teams and oversee ground maintenance equipment *establish job priorities and time frames for maintenance staff *maintain vehicles, plant, and fire protection equipment *operate light and heavy machinery *control stocks of supplies and prompt reordering *conduct routine preventative maintenance of farm assets *train employees on equipment and safety procedures *maintain computer records *manage maintenance budget, inventory, and expenses *all other tasks related to this position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in Maintenance Management;
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations;
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills;
  • Ability to operate machinery and supervise staff effectively;
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills;
  • Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching;
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights.
