    Job Title: Rehab Medical Doctor

    Location: Western Cape, Stellenbosch

    Job Description

    • The Therapy Group Practice at Nurture Health requires a Rehab Medical Doctor to be based at the Nurture Stellenbosch physical rehabilitation facility in Stellenbosch, Western Cape.
    • This role offers an exciting opportunity to treat inpatient rehabilitation patients and build relationships with referring specialists in the area.
    • The successful applicant will form part of the facility leadership team.

    Minimum Education/Experience Requirements

    • MBChB degree and full registration with HPCSA.
    • At least 2 years' experience as a Medical Practitioner.
    • Possession of own transport.
    • Professional indemnity cover.
    • Previous experience in an interdisciplinary team setting is advantageous but not essential.
    • Exposure to inpatient treatment, high care, ICU, and casualty is also advantageous but not essential.

    Competency Expectations

    • Patient- and family-centered approach.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to deal with diverse patients and team members.
    • Interest in working closely with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, therapists, and administrators.
    • Prepared to assume responsibility for allocated patients, handle uncertainty, and know when to consult and liaise with other team members, referring doctors, and consultants.
    • Strong clinical knowledge and skill base, with a hunger to learn more and be coached.
    • Literate in MS Windows and MS Office.
    • Perform pre-admission patient rehabilitation evaluations guided by the Nurture Care Model.
