Description
An Estate is looking for a Wine Sales Manager who will be responsible for all sales management and brand development of the Estate wine business in all local and international markets.
Responsibilities:

SALES MANAGEMENT
- Developing and managing a sales plan and sales projections and budgeting specific to each client in all regions;
- Compiling regular sales analysis reports and comparisons to gauge overall growth of the business and growth within each market, and identify markets which need further support to reach budgeted volume;
- Achieving business development in all existing market activities by identifying sales opportunities and implementing sales plans to meet annual financial budgets;
- Calculating projection of sales targets and allocations on key line items based on sales analysis and past trends in each market;
- Negotiating and implementing price increases to each agent in all regions;
- Monitoring sales in all markets and providing management support to ensure budgets based on market segmentation are met with export, domestic and cellar door;
- Managing allocations of limited items to key clients in all markets;
- Identifying opportunities to run strategic promotions with key clients in various markets to build brand awareness and strengthen partnerships;
- Identifying opportunities to run strategic specials with key clients to move excess stock;
- Managing ecommerce to ensure all products are correctly listed, updated and represented on the site;
- Driving quarterly sales plan across all products and implementing campaigns to maintain traction to the site;
- Overseeing customer relations and service for all clients of the site;
- Maintaining communication between sales teams in all markets and providing necessary marketing materials to support distribution partners;
- Coordinating strategic market visits (Domestic and International) by the Wine Team to enhance relationships and increase sales with the trade and end consumer;
- Management of the Wine Sales & Marketing on site and remote team;
- Working closely with the regional offices of the national distributor to ensure the brand message is cohesive and adequately projected to the trade and end consumer.
MARKETING AND BRAND DEVELOPMENT
- Branding coordination of all wine branding, including labels, gift packaging, brochures, tasting notes etc.;
- Identify opportunities to showcase and represent the Delaire Graff brand at strategically agreed Wine Shows, PR Events and Competitions.
- Represent Delaire Graff wines and the Estate at wine tastings, partner dinners to reenforce the brand;
- Ensure the registration and necessary coordination of wine shows and relevant competitions;
- Ensuring the management of stock and packaging in partnership with logistics teams, and marketing materials and competition within the wine team;
- Maintaining client relations with agents and trade in all current and prospective markets to promote Delaire Graff Estate and Wines;
- Hosting local and international clients to promote relations with existing agents and build relationships with prospective clients;
- Coveting and hosting local and international journalists to promote Delaire Graff Wines within the greater global communication networks.
- Managing relations and opportunities with local wine boards and bodies to promote the region and the Estate through select local and international events and Estate hosting;
- Writing and content editing for all wine related marketing including press releases, web content, digital mailers, brochure/POS content, etc.;
- Creating compelling and fluid digital strategy for all wine related digital marketing campaigns and briefing the relevant teams to execute that strategy
- Managing all wine related social media content
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant qualification in Marketing or equivalent
- Preferably 3+ years previous experience in similar role
- Previous sales experience, particularly in a directtoconsumer role
- Experience in managing an Ecommerce site
- Excellent writing and copyediting skills
- Previous staff management experience
- Computer literacy skills, must have strong excel experience
- Project management experience
- Organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong presentation skills
- Must be proficient with the English language
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments
- Ability to work within strict deadlines
