    Hadoop Administrator Wanted in Health Industry

    We are seeking an experienced Hadoop Administrator with a strong background in Linux and Kubernetes to join our team.

    Job Summary:

    • Job Title: Hadoop Administrator
    • Location: Health Industry
    • Job Type: Permanent Hybrid

    About the Role:

    The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the interconnectivities and interfaces between various technical platforms, operating systems, and processes. They will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale data processing systems using Hadoop technology.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement data pipelines using Hadoop tools such as HIVE, Pig, Spark, Impala, Oozie, Sqoop, and Map Reduce
    • Develop and maintain database structures, theories, principles, and practices
    • Familiarity with data loading tools like Flume, Sqoop, and Kafka
    • Knowledge of workflow/schedulers like Oozie
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills applied to Big Data domain
    • In-depth knowledge of Data Warehouse and Big Data best practices
    • Working experience with Docker and Kubernetes
    • Linux experience essential

    Requirements:

    • Tertiary qualifications: Computer Science, Information Systems or similar
    • Certification in Hadoop Development

    What We Offer:

    A cost-to-company salary of R1.1m per annum for this permanent hybrid position.
