    General Manager | Independent Brokerage

    Category: Insurance, Location: Centurion, Salary: Market-Related

    Our client, a national independent brokerage, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead their business.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    1. Strategic Growth: Recruit and align footprint owners with the company's strategy and culture, enhancing the client and franchise value proposition.
    2. Regional Management & Leadership: Foster close relationships between the company's Head Office and franchises, contributing to achieving growth targets.
    3. Growth Enablement: Support financial planning and advice initiatives, offering technical support and specialist assistance to promote investment, savings, and wealth management propositions.
    4. Franchise Practice Management: Develop and maximize franchise practice management through sound financial planning and advice, ensuring efficient practices are aligned with the financial planning strategy.
    5. Governance & Compliance: Oversee compliance training and regular audits, ensuring adherence to risk management and compliance processes.

    Key Competencies:

    • Entrepreneurial & Commercial Thinking: Stay informed on market trends, identify business opportunities, and demonstrate financial awareness.
    • Decision Making & Initiative: Take responsibility, work independently, and drive change with clear decision-making.
    • Relating & Networking: Build strong relationships at all levels and develop effective networks.
    • Persuasion & Influence: Secure agreement and commitment from others, leveraging political processes to influence decisions.
    • Results Delivery: Focus on customer satisfaction, maintain high standards, and achieve project goals methodically.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related NQF 6 qualification.
    • Certified Financial Planner.

    Experience:

    • 5-8 years in corporate business development, client service, or marketing within financial services.
    • Experience in franchise sales.
