Our client is a integrated supply chain company offering tailored logístical solutions in the land, sea and air space. They are looking for a
Sales Consultant in Durban to join their team. The company has experienced consistent growth through acquisitions and organic expansion.


Capabilities and competencies:


  • Conduct market research and identify potential customer segments, industries, and geographic areas for business development.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential customers, nurture leads throughout the sales process, and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop and implement sales strategies and campaigns to drive business growth.
  • Prepare sales proposals and negotiate pricing as well as contract terms with potential customers.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market changes, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Achieve/exceed sales targets and performance metrics, providing regular reports and updates to sales management.
  • Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance sales skills and knowledge.

Requirements:


  • Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or any related field.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, with at least 5 years experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the logistics industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, including active listening, verbal, and written communication.
  • Strong prospecting and lead generation skills, with ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Effective networking and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Resultsdriven mindset, with a sense of urgency and ability to work independently to meet sales targets.
  • Ability to present/articulate complex concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs.
  • Selfmotivated, proactive, and able to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
