Description

As the Traffic Manager you will work as a go-between that connects Stakeholders to other departments within the Marketing department.


The Traffic Manager sets a schedule of deadlines for the completion of a brief and assigns resources to each necessary step in the process.

The Traffic Manager then checks on the progress of the project, communicating with the Account Executive as needed. The Traffic Manager is generally considered to be the main point of contact for production and client service communication.


The Traffic Manager's major focus and responsibility will be to allocate and manage the company resources in terms of copy, design, development, outsourcing and production, while as the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for initiating, planning, executing, and managing the social media account for the various Badger brands.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Traffic Manager:


  • Approve all briefs received by Stakeholder on the Chase system and assign tasks and check the statuses of outstanding tasks. All new job bags / amendments to be approved and allocated with status communication to project owner within one day. This is dependent on full briefs by Stakeholder. Attain an understanding of briefs received and deadlines.
  • Notify each Stakeholder of role required and provide deadline dates to all Stakeholders in order to notify client / partner of expected timelines.
  • Ensure that every job is allocated to the necessary departments and ensuring timeous delivery on each.
  • Coordinating the necessary designers, studio, creatives if required.
  • Conduct a weekly status meeting to go over items/tasks assigned and due for the day and determine if there are any roadblocks and red flags.
  • Communicate any issues with the team, Stakeholder or Project Owner.
  • Ensuring Chase system is kept up to date for all Stakeholders to be able to know where the jobs are at any given time.
  • Compile and send traffic report with status regarding briefs received, deadlines reached / not reached, and time logged on each job, assisting and following up with Stakeholders on outstanding approvals.
  • Closing of job bags on Chase system once job has been completed, monitoring, and reporting on closing ratio monthly.
  • Weekly individual stats report for each team member compiled and sent to Marketing Manager.
  • Managing quality checks on all work from team prior to sending to Stakeholders for approval, monitoring and reporting on all quality reverts.
  • Handling queries received from clients / partners etc, providing clients with the necessary updates regarding jobs.
  • Dealing with legal, compliance and product related queries.
  • Obtaining necessary approvals from product, legal and clients.
  • Continuous updates and compiling of all approvals for audit folder.
  • Continuous updates and changes to marketing process.
  • Handling and correcting chase issues / queries and necessary training, ensuring process understanding and ownership by responsible stakeholders.
  • Compiling weekly and monthly reports for marketing.

Social Media Manager:


  • Develop, implement, and manage social media strategy, ensuring consistency in voice and brand.
  • Creating and managing an integrated social media content plan and calendar.
  • Managing and implementing social media advertising campaigns.
  • Defining most important social media KPIs.
  • Designing posts to sustain readers' curiosity and creating buzz around products.
  • Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is engaging, informative and appealing.
  • Facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to queries via social media.
  • Monitoring social media for customer comments both positive and negative and initiate feedback and escalate client service issues where required.
  • Ensure that all client matters are dealt with in an efficient, courteous, and timely manner.
  • Researching audience preferences and identifying current trends.
  • Measuring the success of every social media campaign.
  • Matric.
  • Relevant qualification in project management is advantageous.
  • Bachelor of Science in Marketing.
  • Relevant qualification in social media management.

EXPERIENCE:


  • Experience with managing social media accounts.
  • Experience working in an agency or similar environment.
  • Experience in working with MS Office.
  • Experience in working with Chase or similar project/traffic management systems.

SKILLS/ ATTRIBUTES:


  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and deadlines (essential).
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels, including during difficult or challenging circumstances.
  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs before they arise.
  • Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters.
  • Mac/Microsoft Windows proficient.
  • Relevant qualification in project management is advantageous
