Description

We are seeking an Underwriter: DD to join our team at Santam Insurance.

Key Responsibilities

Quoting and handling queries from brokers on referrals generated through our digital platform.
Managing administrative tasks and resolving account issues related to system usage.
Providing guidance to users on the proper use of the system.
Building and managing profitable portfolios using the Pocket Underwriter system.

Marketing and Sales

Engaging with brokers to discuss our range of digital products.
Presenting the benefits of digital products and highlighting the differences between standard and digital offerings.
Driving sales through the Pocket Underwriter system.

Events and Training

Training brokers on Evolution, EVO PI, and specialist covers within the Pocket Underwriter system.
Addressing queries and resolving issues to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
Providing telephonic backup and answering services for the digital distribution division.
Managing broker queries on Pocket Underwriter usage.
Handling credit control queries and errors.
Assisting with the transfer of risks into the digital platform.
Maintaining the quality and accuracy of system-produced documents and KIT records.
Participating in ongoing system testing and evaluation.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 3 years' experience in the insurance industry.
At least 3 years of underwriting experience or relevant professional liability experience.
Prior experience with Liability, D&O, and A&H is beneficial but not necessary as training will be provided.
a Matric qualification.
A tertiary qualification is preferred.
RE 5 and FAIS Compliant certifications are a plus.
