Engineering Manager
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Position Summary:
We are in search of a seasoned Engineering Manager with a wealth of experience in the water industry to lead our engineering department. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership and technical expertise, with more than eight years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the engineering department, ensuring effective management of projects, teams, and resources.
  
• Develop strategic planning for the design, development, and delivery of projects within the water industry.
  
• Cultivate a strong team environment that encourages innovation and excellence in engineering practices.
  
• Drive the research and implementation of new technologies and methodologies to enhance project outcomes.
  
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
  
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations across all engineering activities.
  
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and timelines, delivering projects on time and within financial targets.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; a Master's degree or MBA would be advantageous.
  
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent professional qualification.
  
• More than eight years of experience in the water industry, with at least five years in a managerial or leadership role.
  
• Demonstrable success in leading large-scale engineering projects from conception to completion.
  
• Strong technical background with a deep understanding of water treatment processes and systems.
  
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Outstanding leadership and communication abilities, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
