Description
We are currently recruiting an HR Generalist to be based at Head Office, Centurion. The overall purpose of the role is the coordination of human resources activities in the various operations.

The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following areas:
HR administration & systems, employee relations, recruitment administration, B-BBEE, ISO, and payroll.

Supporting the HR Executive in identifying and executing HR initiatives that will enable business performance in line with the full HR value chain.


Responsibilities:


  • Management of recruitment processes. Recruitment, Selection, Assessment, and Onboarding processes;
  • Assisting in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies and providing guidance and interpretation for business operations;
  • Assisting in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs;
  • Coordinate and submit all monthly, quarterly, and adhoc reports;
  • Assisting in effective cost control measures and ensuring relevant processes are in place to reduce costs;
  • Participating in all HR projects/initiatives;
  • Overseeing all administrative tasks for onboarding, newhire orientations, and exits, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance;
  • Assisting in HR communication and interpretation of policies and memorandums;
  • HR representation in disciplinary hearings;
  • Record minutes in HRrelated meetings;
  • Ensuring all CCMA notices are processed and reported to your line manager and CCMA bundle/document preparation;
  • Assisting in identifying resistance and performance gaps and developing and implementing corrective actions;
  • Responsible for all payroll loading and new engagement and benefits documentation to ensure timeout capturing of all new data required in terms of payroll procedures;
  • Conducting leaves management analysis, and reporting Business Unit trends;
  • Supporting developing and implementing a B-BBEE and Employment Equity (EE) strategy for the organisation;
  • Assisting with managing and maintaining EE records and reporting on targets;
  • Assisting with the management and preparation of ISO audits;
  • Working closely with the verification agencies and consultants to ensure that all data submitted is complete and accurate;
  • Managing and maintaining the clocking system;

Minimum Requirements:


  • Diploma in Human Resources Management with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in an HR Department;
  • Solid understanding of good HR practices in a growing, foreverchanging, dynamic organisation;
  • The ability to communicate effectively in English (written and spoken word);
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and compile detailed reports;
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to relate to people at all levels, are essential;
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks assertively, efficiently, and timely;
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating professionalism in all dealings;
  • Ability to work under pressure and according to tight deadlines;
  • Excellent mediation skills with the ability to assist in finding suitable and viable resolutions;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • A spirit of cooperation and a positive 'can do' attitude;
  • Emotional intelligence and good time management;
  • The flexibility to work outside normal office hours may be required from time to time
