Description
Preparation of tenders and quotations, technical and commercial negotiations with customers. The Technical Sales Engineer coordinates the technical and commercial requirements

  • Analyse tenders and inquiries and select the required sales activities.
  • Study customer documents and prepare related process lines and equipment.
  • Prepare technical and commercial specifications for the sales projects.
  • Prepare cost estimation for the projects.
  • Presenting the technical and commercial proposal to the customers.
  • Negotiate tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both clients and company needs.
  • Support marketing / sales activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing / sales events.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.
  • Provide presales technical assistance and product education while visiting potential customers.
  • Work on aftersales support services and provide technical back up as required.
  • Identify business opportunities and sales channels.

Education:
Minimum Requirements


  • Degree or diploma in Engineering (Pyrometallurgy or Mechanical will be advantageous)

Job Experience & Skills Required:


  • Sound experience in sales activities in a project engineering environment.
  • Experience within the mining and mineral processing industry ( nonnegotiable)
  • Proven track record of sales strategy formulation.
  • 5 years experience in an engineering/project environment
  • Must have above average computer and technical engineering skills.
  • Able to work, travel, negotiate and function alone or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong costing and pricing focus and accuracy.
  • Solid technical background.
