Our client is working on a major solar/substation project in Upington and is seeking a skilled Surveyor- SS (Substation)/TL (Transmission Line) to join their team in March 2024.

Salary: Competitive and in line with the market standards

Requirements:

• Surveyor Experience: At least 8-10 years of solid experience in Substations, specifically with a strong track record in multiple power projects
• Professional Registration: Registration with SAGC coupled with expertise in power line projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough topographic surveys to evaluate the project site
• Providing precise data for the layout planning of substations and transmission lines
• Collaborating closely with design and engineering teams to ensure adherence to project specifications
• Validating legal boundaries and property lines associated with substations and transmission lines
• Supervising the installation and configuration of substation components and transmission line structures
• Execute as-built surveys for proper documentation
• Working in coordination with construction teams to guarantee accurate project execution
• Continuous monitoring and reporting on survey-related tasks across the project duration
