    Description

    A Registered Nurse Theatre Qualified is required to assist the surgical team in performing surgical procedures and ensuring optimal patient care.

    Critical Outputs

    • Effective financial management by accurately charging theatre clocking time, consignment stock, equipment, and prosthesis according to policy.
    • Affecting the functioning of theatre equipment and instrumentation by educating staff on correct utilization.
    • Providing quality patient care by obtaining necessary information pre-operatively and visiting post-operatively.
    • Ensuring effective people management by providing theatre-specific training and assessing staff competence.
    • Effective SHEQ management by ensuring use of personal protective clothing and complying with ISO requirements.
    • Effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders by attending review meetings and maintaining healthy relationships.

    Requirements

    • General Nursing Degree/Diploma.
    • Registration with SANC.
    • Postgraduate Qualification in Operating Theatre Techniques.
    • Theatre scrubbing experience in all disciplines is essential.
    • Relevant experience and technical skill to meet critical outputs.
