    Job Title

    Civil Engineer - Road Surfacing and Rehabilitation Projects

    Key Requirements:

    • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in road surfacing and rehabilitation projects.
    • Solid knowledge of slurry, chip and spraying, emulsions, colrub spraying and mobile plant operations on project sites.
    • Experience in site planning and scheduling, pre-project communication with clients and head office regarding resources and equipment, as well as providing input into materials and specialized requirements to meet client needs.
    • Experience in controlling costs on sites, responsible for plant equipment and assets on sites, ensuring breakdowns are promptly attended to to avoid delay penalties and providing input into budgets and costing for estimates/quotations or tenders.
    • Sound knowledge of site health and safety and quality workmanship with a proven record of maintaining the highest standards and zero incidents.
    • Strong leadership skills, motivating site teams and effectively managing IR and training and development requirements.
    • A valid driver's license, own vehicle, and a clear criminal and credit record.

    The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of civil engineering principles, particularly in road surfacing and rehabilitation projects. They will be able to apply this knowledge to lead site teams, manage projects, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

    We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be based in our regional office and will be required to travel to project sites throughout the region.
