    **Job Title:** Product Manager - Lenovo Department

     

    Our company, a leading technology distributor in Africa, is seeking an experienced Product Manager for the Lenovo department.

     

    **Purpose of Position:

     

    The successful candidate will develop and manage a strategy to optimize product/brand performance in the market while achieving objectives set by both the vendor and the company. This will involve managing products with a focus on sales and marketing.

     

    **Key Responsibilities:**

    • Responsible for total sales numbers for the product range.
    • Drive the sales team to grow vendor revenue in existing install base accounts and new accounts through focused marketing strategies, campaigns, and end-user enablement.
    • Ensure the sales team represents the interests of all partners within each respective partner.
    • Provide accurate and regular sales forecasts and business updates to management and vendors.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure each sales opportunity is driven proactively.
    • Engage in collaborative strategic and tactical business planning with key partners:
      • Identify new markets.
      • Understand the partner sales process and develop a sales and marketing strategy to suit the partner.
      • Develop sales tools to assist partner sales and technical sales specialists.
      • Design a sales and marketing strategy to mine the existing customer base.
      • Identify key new accounts and design a sales approach to bring new customers on board.
      • Assist partners with broad-based marketing to promote their business.
      • Assist partners with customer reference sites.
      • Create and promote high-impact innovative marketing programs and initiatives within partners to generate new opportunities.
      • Design partner enablement plans to ensure partner resources are skilled in marketing programs and products they drive.
      • Develop enable programs for partners to drive into their existing and prospective bases.
      • Apply best practices for opportunity management, account planning, and forecasting.
      • Play a key role in defining and implementing vendors' overall strategy within the company.
      • Align vendors' strategic focus with company resources and structures.

       

      **Education and Experience:**

      • Matric certificate with exemption (essential).
      • 2 years of sales experience in the IT industry (essential), in IT distribution (preferred).
      • 2 years of sales experience selling to large corporate customers (preferred).
      • Account management experience (essential).

       

      **Technical Competencies:**

      • MS Office Suite (Intermediate – essential).
