    Business Development Manager

    The role of a Business Development Manager involves promoting products and services to new clients, identifying business opportunities, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.

    Sales Planning

    • Build a list of potential clients and identify key markets to target.
    • Develop a marketing strategy to reach out to these prospects.
    • Track client interactions and meetings in a CRM system.
    • Connect with at least 5-10 new clients per week through referrals, prospecting, and networking.
    • Understand the company's offerings, the client's business challenges, and market trends to effectively engage with clients.
    • Create action plans, set schedules, and seek assistance when needed to achieve sales goals.
    • Achieve consistent performance based on company-determined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

    Sales Engagement

    • Execute 5-10 sales meetings with clients per week to:
    • Identify business objectives and associated challenges.
    • Obtain consensus on business priorities.
    • Align solutions with diagnosed problems.
    • Develop specific solutions tailored to each client's needs.
    • Schedule demos and consult with Technical Pre-Sales to offer corrective solutions.
    • Obtain signed documentation and identify cross-selling opportunities.
    • Provide business case documents and act as an advisor to stakeholders within customer accounts.
    • Build relationships, create connections, and establish a referral network.

    Administrative Duties

    • Document research conducted for meetings in CRM or Business Case.
    • Update and maintain accurate records of client interactions in CRM.
    • Forecast and submit sales pipelines.
    • Attend weekly Pipeline Review meetings with Sales Manager to review pipeline stages.
    • Participate in daily Win/Loss review meetings to inform performance improvement.
    • Attend bi-monthly account planning meetings to map out stakeholder engagement and opportunities.
    • Attend daily and weekly sales team meetings.

    Research & Learning

    • Engage in continuous research to understand industry, market, and competitor trends.
    • Monitor and research development in customer industries, competitors, and operations.

    Product Knowledge

    • Maintain current knowledge of product offerings through self-study and bi-weekly product training.
    • Prepare sales presentations and demonstrations for prospective clients.
    • Take part in marketing events and attend niche-specific workshops.

    Individual Development

    • Complete Individual Development Plan.
    • Attend individual coaching and mentoring sessions with Sales Manager.
    • Attend learning and development courses.

    Requirements

    • 5 years prior sales experience in similar role.
    • Highly organized and efficient.
    • Customer service oriented.
    • Knowledge of working on a CRM system.
    • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet monthly targets.
    • Good negotiation skills.
    • Self-starter and able to work independently.
    • Committed, positive, and hardworking.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
