    Production Manager Job Description

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our team in Benoni, overseeing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards throughout our operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement operating plans to achieve production targets.
    • Lead and supervise production staff, providing training and guidance to ensure productivity and quality goals are met.
    • Communicate production goals, priorities, and performance metrics effectively to ensure alignment and accountability.
    • Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
    • Implement quality control procedures and adhere to product specifications to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
    • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, process deviations, and other production problems to minimize downtime and maintain efficient operations.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's or Diploma in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, relevant qualifications.
    • 5 years' experience as a Production Manager in a chemical manufacturing environment.
    • 4 years' People Management experience.
    • Experience in implementing safety standards and systems, handling hazardous chemicals, and using technology systems and processes.

    • Results-driven leader with strong planning and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
    • Able to adapt and respond to change, cope with pressure and setbacks, and deal with complexity.
