- Set the strategy for the quality direction of the product.
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
- Establish more efficient ways to test features and identify the relevant test platforms.
- Actively participate in expanding, maintaining and overseeing automation projects.
- Own and champion particular technologies/tools and suggests innovative ideas and enhancements.
- Improve and review test analysis, processes and project test strategies.
- Facilitate, lead and mentor Quality Analysts.
- Identify gaps in the QA resources and assist in recruitment.
- Provide technical leadership for projects.
- Ensure timely and high-quality assurance for the product.
- Relevant 3 year IT/Finance/Accounting degree.
- 6+ years of experience in testing complex software systems.
- Experience in web testing and automation e.g. Playwright or Postman.
- Leadership experience - coaching and mentoring other team members
- Team player, independent, out-of-the-box thinker, and self learner.
- Passion for learning and mentoring, enjoying seeing others succeed
- Excellent understanding of testing concepts and the role of QA in Scrum.
- Ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
- Experience executing and designing test cases.
- Experience creating and maintaining testing environments.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Basic SQL skills.
- Must be a South African citizen or hold a valid work permit.
