Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate all backstage equipment, including lighting, sound, and special effects, for performances and events
onboard the cruise ships
Conduct regular maintenance and repairs of backstage equipment to ensure optimal functioning
Assist with the loadin and loadout of equipment for each show
Collaborate with the show's technical team to ensure seamless execution of performances
Troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during shows and events
Maintain a safe and organized backstage area at all times
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
Assist with the training of new technicians and crew members
Keep accurate records of equipment inventory and maintenance schedules
Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the show schedule
Willingness to travel internationally for extended periods of time

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Backstage Technician in a live entertainment setting
Strong knowledge of lighting, sound, and special effects equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics
Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fastpaced environment
Willingness to work irregular hours and travel internationally for extended periods of time
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in English, both written and verbal
Valid passport and ability to obtain necessary visas for international travel

Salary:
R35 000,00 - R60 000,00 per month
