    The Debtors Clerk plays a vital role in managing the day-to-day activities of debtors, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, reconciling accounts, and communicating with customers regarding payment discrepancies.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Update debtor information on a regular basis for management review and analysis.
    • Analyze cash receipts, accounts receivable, debit, credit, and account balances using specialized accounting software.
    • Process incoming payments from customers, resolving any discrepancies found in records or communication.
    • Support ad-hoc tasks as required to maintain efficient operations.
    • Record all incoming payments accurately and efficiently.
    • Issue invoices to customers in a timely manner, adhering to established deadlines.
    • Regularly reconcile customer accounts to ensure all payments are accounted for and up-to-date.
    • Contact customers to remind them of outstanding payments and address payment-related issues.
    • Maintain detailed records of transactions, communications, and payment statuses.

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • A completed secondary education is necessary.
    • Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet software is required.
    • Two to three years of experience in the financial sector is preferred.
    • Diploma or relevant certification in Accounting or Finance can be beneficial.
    • Pastel experience is essential.
