Job Title

A company based in the Midrand or Menlyn area is seeking a Full Stack Java Developer with expertise in Angular.

Job Description

• Requires at least 5 years of experience in Java development, including version control using Git.
• Familiarity with Kafka or other streaming platforms, such as MQTT, is necessary.
• Kubernetes and Microservice Architecture knowledge are required.
• Proficiency in UI frameworks, specifically Angular version 9 or higher, is essential.
• Responsibilities include developing backend and frontend user stories.
• The selected candidate must actively participate in Scrum ceremonies.
• Contributing to the refinement of user stories and liaising with stakeholders and team members are also key responsibilities.
• Sharing knowledge proactively, mentoring, and coaching colleagues are expected.
• Clarifying open points and developing prototypes for further discussion are additional tasks.
• Providing support for existing solutions, particularly in DevOps, is a requirement.
• Agile experience is advantageous.
• ITIL process knowledge and work experience are beneficial.
• Experience with backend frameworks like Java EE/J2EE is necessary.
• Familiarity with testing tools, such as Karma, Jasmine, Postman, Newman, Cypress, Selenium, Junit, Xunit, Robot, and Jest, is required.
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence is essential.
• Experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, is necessary.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools, such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, Terraform, and Ansible, is required.
• A relevant IT degree, diploma, or equivalent work experience is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Software Engineer and 2+ years' experience with Angular are required.
