Requirements:


  • Relevant B-Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Finance,
Operational Research or related degree

  • A higher qualification will be advantageous
  • A minimum of 3 years' data analysis experience in a financial
environment.

  • At least 2 years working experience with "R" or Python programs as
well as SQL

  • Experience that relates to Municipal Finances as well as Revenue
Debtors and/or Debt Collection processes with at least 3 years'

supervisory experience will be advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications with Advanced Excel
  • Valid Code B, EB or C drivers licence is required
Key Performance Areas

  • Report on trends, customer behaviours, dunning actions and
revenue clearance efficiencies in order to optimise revenue

collection and processes.

  • Identify and define the immediate, short and long term objectives
and priorities for the respective units responsible for various debt

management processes or revenue clearance procedures.

  • Analyse data pertaining to outstanding debt of the City's
Customers, debt collection activities, possible debt relief initiatives

and revenue clearance information.

  • Compile dashboards and provide progress reports on operations.
  • Provide guidance and advice to the Data Scientist team with
regards to the required data to be used for the Debt Management

Dashboard.

  • Conduct regular audits on the activities, processes, transactions
and documentation within the respective areas.

  • Controlling the Key Performance Areas (KPAs) and critical outputs
of subordinates.
